Amanda Jo Savell grew up playing tennis most of her life, she would eventually play at Texas Tech University. Although very goal driven, Amanda was a very laid back individual, who had a bigger heart then most.
Taking the figure stage for the first time at the 2005 Orange County Classic, Amanda took first place and quickly set her eyes on a pro card; it did not take long. Only a few months later, Amanda would earn her pro card at the 2005 USA Bodybuilding & Figure Championships, making her one of the fastest rising figure pros of all time. With only 9 pro competitions, Amanda managed to place in the top 10 at each one, with 5 top 5 finishes, and overall victories at the 2005 & 2006 Europa IFBB Super Show.
One of the fastest rising stars of the figure world, Amanda Jo Savell’s life was cut tragically short, as she was found dead Thursday, June 5th, 2008. Amanda lost her life by her fiancés hand; shot and murdered by David Jacobs, accused steroid dealer to the NFL.
