This past weekend twelve of the best IFBB Pro Fitness competitors took the stage in New York to battle for the title as well as qualifications to this years up and coming Fitness Olympia. With some of the best at hand it proved to be some stiff competition, with some of the hardest bodies and flamboyant routines Pro Fitness has to offer. Many of these girls competed just a few short weeks ago at this years ASC, and not to be outdone by themselves, many of them looked even better than they did a few short weeks ago. For any fitness fan, it’s easy to understand this is not easy to do. It takes an enormous amount of discipline and dedication to hold on to top conditioning and to improve upon this every year, but keeping it alive back to back as some of these competitors did here is a very tall order. 

Pre-Judging

As the competitors hit the stage this Saturday morning some stood out over others from the very start, but you could easily see that no one was going to run away with the title. Tina Durkin, Shannon Meteraud and Trish Warren seemed to have the early advantage, and the end result would hold to this Saturday night but they had their work cut out for them to hold on to these spots. Nicole Wilkins-Lee and Myriam Capes definitely brought their A game to the stage and brought forth a battle to the end for the top 5 spots. However, at the New York Pro Fitness, only the top 3 take home the money and these three women earned every penny.

3rd Tina Durkin: It may not have been Tina’s best routine overall but she made up for it with the physique she brought forth to the stage in every way. With a little more umph in the final round she might have found herself a place or two higher but don’t misunderstand, her routine was still fantastic, but it wasn’t enough to carry her to the top spot.

2nd Trish Warren: Trish brought her Daisy Duke routine to the stage once again but this time it had a more perfected feel. She had perhaps the best back on stage this day and some of the tightest conditioning around; this was a great day for Trish and it’s an amazing accomplishment to be able to hold on to such a firm polished physique so close in back to back shows. If she can keep this up and I’m sure she can, Trish Warren should have a very good year ahead of her and will no doubt give her man Branch a run for his money as top IFBB athlete in the house!

1st Shannon Meteraud: Shannon once again brought her “MILF-Tastic” routine to the stage with a flawless routine and rock hard physique! Quite easily the best lower body on stage and one of the most perfect flowing physiques on the New York Stage, it’s hard to argue against her being the top athlete today. Shannon’s routine had to be one of the most energetic of the evening Saturday night and it paid off for her in the end. The air of confidence around her without question kept her at the top and she proved today that she is still one of the top competitors in the sport after 9 years in the IFBB fitness arena!

Notables: 

Nicole Wilkins-Lee: Still a fresh face in the IFBB Fitness world, Nicole brought perhaps one of her best packages to the stage today! Just being barely edged out by Tina Durkin in a very close battle for 3rd, Nicole has every reason to be extremely proud of herself after this show. With only one year as a pro, Nicole is easily one of the fastest rising stars in the sport and you can expect many good things to come from her over the years. Next stop Tampa and the other competitors you can be sure will have their eyes on her!

For those that missed it, you missed quite a show and missed out on 12 of the best women the IFBB has to offer for any fitness fan. With competitors like these, Pro Fitness can only improve and can only continue to give every fan every last pennies worth!
