2009 Australian Pro
The 2009 Australian Pro has come and gone. There is little surprise here, one week after his prevailing victory at this year’s Arnold Classic, Kai Greene cuts another notch deep into his muscular victory belt!
The Australian Pro typically has a small field but it always makes up for it bringing in some very tenacious competition. With Kai Greene in this mix and with the tear he’s on now, it’s almost a wonder if anyone has a chance against the predator now.
As good as the competition looked this year, it’s hard to fathom anyone standing a chance against the New York based giant. Kai seemed to be a tad bit smoother at the Australian Pro as compared to his ASC win, he also showed just a touch less control over his midsection, but these are near meaningless details. As any bodybuilder will tell you, it’s a very difficult task to hold on to perfect conditioning two shows in a row, and Kai pulled out all the stops for the ASC. Even so, his quads and hams were simply beyond comparison, he dominated the Australian stage with arms a blazing and a back that no one on that stage and quite frankly no one on any stage can probably touch at this juncture.
With the first call out going to Kai, Toney and Silvio, from the start you’re top 3 was announced. Ivan Sadek made a great appearance, and the best mustache in bodybuilding Rusty Jeffers brought his A-game to the stage, but in the end, no one could really match the top 3 or even begin to pose a threat.
3rd Toney Freeman:
Toney dominated with some big muscle today, he could have easily found himself in the number two spot if he had been just a little dryer. His back and legs seemed to be just slightly off his absolute best, but that shouldn’t be a concern for the X-Man fans. It’s still early in the season, Toney has big things planned for this year, and by the time we get to the Olympia you better believe we will see one top notch X-Man on the stage that day!
2nd Silvio Samuel:
Silvio looked fantastic! There is not really another way to put it. Silvio brought the same package he brought to last week’s ASC, only this time he was just a tad bit better. Always dry and cut to the bone, there is no doubt he is pleased with his placing today.
1st Kai Greene:
A good deal smoother than he was one week ago at the ASC, but this bodybuilder is nearly perfect, and a little smoother, well it’s going to take a lot more than that if he is going to find himself not on the top of the stage. For those that are new to bodybuilding, Kai possess every quality a champion bodybuilder should have, he is living breathing muscle and he has muscle even where it’s thought it can’t be. Absolutely no surprises here with his 1st place win today.
Next up for the 2009 IFBB season is the Europa Show of Champions in Orlando FL April 17th and 18th. What will happen? Who will come out on top? Whoever it is you can count on two things; the 2009 season promises to be one of the best and ProBodybuilding.com will keep you covered every last step of the way!
