What motivates you to lead a lifestyle that is healthy and active?
I have always been very active, and keeping my body in optimum condition enables me to live my life with the most energy and put forth the best effort in all that I do. My life is so busy – I need to be on my game every day – day in and day out, and if I didn’t take care of my body like I do – I wouldn’t have the energy or stamina to get ½ the things done on a daily basis that I do now.
Favorite cheat meal? : I ALWAYS love a nice big steak with some sautéed mushrooms, and a couple glasses
What do you do for a living…when you get a break from the gym..lol?
I am in sales, have been for what seems like forever. I work for YellowBook USA as a New Media Specialist supporting our core reps with their technical help and selling SEM/online advertising/print Yellow pages. I LOVE MY JOB! I train a few select clients part time, and I bake protein cookies & healthy breads which I sell as well. I also make healthy organic doggie treats – our pets should be able to snack healthy just like us right!
Do you find it hard to date and/or be married when training for shows or when you lead a super healthy lifestyle?
I am very lucky to be with someone who lives this lifestyle – he is a body builder – so we are actually each other’s support as we diet. It’s the greatest to have someone as dialed in (or even more so!) as you are with your stats/prep/progress and have them understand your cravings, know why you may be moody when you’re going in for your last hour of cardio on an empty tummy. The understanding/love/coaching makes what we do even more enjoyable.
What goals do you want to achieve in the fitness industry?
one in particular is to keep inspiring others to go after their dreams, and be able to give them enough hope and courage to go after their goals and achieve them. I have met some amazing people thru this lifestyle/industry….who actually inspire ME to continue to strive for my personal best every day. People who have broken their backs/necks/had diagnoses of never walking again and now they run the Charles every day. That’s just awesome.
I would like to earn my IFBB figure pro card – and be a sponsored athlete/the face of a reputable company within our industry that fits with my goals/values/work ethic such as BSN, METRX, MUSCLETECH, GASPARI NUTRITION, GNC or other reputable companies.
What do you think is your best feature or bodypart? : my symmetry and possibly my smile. I don’t have one AWESOME PART – they all jus
Is there anyone you would like to thank?
OF COURSE! There are so many people who have made a huge impression on me and helped me thru the years. I would like to thank Jose Raymond, my boyfriend and trainer – he has been a strong part of my support and guidance, my family who understands what we go thru and accepts my coolers filled with my own food on holidays/birthdays/get togethers, one of my boyfriend’s training partners who has become mine as well now – Mike Holton for kicking my butt in the gym, Maggie Blanchard for making all of my AMAZING suits and of course God for blessing me with the health, strength & ability to do this day in & day out.
