What motivates you to lead a lifestyle that is healthy and active?
By staying fit and making good food choices you are able to prevent so many health problems/diseases. What keeps me motivated is that I know I feel and look better both physically and mentally! I love the sport of figure - the discipline of the training, dieting, and seeing the final results of all the hard work I put into it. Doing figure shows definately help me stay motivated and gives me something to works towards!!
Favorite cheat meal? : sushi and pizookie (pizza cookie!!)
What do you do for a living…when you get a break from the gym..lol?
I am always in the gym :)!! I am coowner of Check Me Out Fitness. I do individual/group training, nutritional coaching, and run an outdoor bootcamp. I also have 2 beautiful children, 8yr old boy and 6yr old daughter that keep me busy but are the best!
Do you find it hard to date and/or be married when training for shows or when you lead a super healthy lifestyle?
I have been training for shows for a little over a year and have not dated this past year... lol. I think that it is possible if that person is supportive of what you do and maybe involved in some way.
What goals do you want to achieve in the fitness industry?
I would like to continue to improve my physique and be competitive at the pro level. I am looking forward to my first pro show this year. I would also like to be able to help and inspire many other woman in reaching their fitness goals and living a healthy lifestyle. My goal is to expand my training company and hold one week boot camp seminars at a cabin up north :) throughout the year.
What do you think is your best feature or bodypart? : My arms/shoulders.
Is there anyone you would like to thank?
I can't thank my trainer and nutritionist, Damian Segovia, enough. He introduced me to the figure world!! He has helped and taught me so much this entire year...every step of the way. I am also very thankful for my family, friends, and all the amazing people I have met in the the fitness industry!
