    Massive Back

    Topic Back...

What are some exercises that you guys do which you think have helped you the most in back growth. list your routine..

I did back today and this is what I did:

4 sets reverse grip Bend over Barbell rows 12-15 reps
3 sets normal grip bend over barbell rows 10 reps
4 sets wide grip pull ups 10 reps
    4 set dumbbell rows

How do you guys feel about mixing either triceps or biceps with back?

When training back and using some type of BB row, I would pick one and just go with that for that particular training session. Both underhand and overhand are good, but no need for both in the same workout.

Ruhlfreak55 mentioned deadlifts and those IMO should be in most peoples back training in some way. I prefer them off the rack due to a back injury a few years ago, plus if you're lifting only for bodybuilding purposes, off the rack gets the job done and to top that off, a lot of guys (me included) end up looking wider in the middle if they do a lot of deads off the floor.

Other great back exercises, T-Bar Rows (one of the best) pullovers (often overlooked but very good if done right) Elevated pullups

Bi's or tri's with back can be fine, but if you're needing to bring one of those muscles up I'd opt for training them on their own day.

My back doesn't agree with deads most of the time. I only do them 1x a month during a back workout.

T-Bar Rows (one of the best) pullovers - I agree. I do these every other workout. T-Bar is one of my favorites Only if every gym would have the old school pullover machines.
