sorry I forgot about this thread. I got prescribed pain pills for kidney stones then after getting a little addicted went to oxys and other opiates. It got real bad then I wound up in th methadone clinic and was on that for a little while I think just made things worse. Long story short I took a couple weeks off work, self prescribed meds from overseas, and just quit cold turkey. I couldnt even walk from one place to another, had to sit in the shower and lived off of ensure drinks only for like 10days. After all was said and done i had been on some sort of opiate for a couple years and it ate me away. Ive been clean since febuary and feel a 100% better mentally and physically.

And thanks about the gloves, I wear those all day long just cause they look so good

im extremly happy to hear you kicked your habit bro because i have seen alot of lives destroyed by those things perscribed by uneducated dr's. i have a good friend who owns a mortage company and almost lost everything because he got addicted after hip surgery. he spent over 2 million dollars in 6 years before going to a florida rehab for 2 months to recover. it was horrible because he built a huge and succesful business from scratch before he was 30 and almost threw it all away.

anyway good luck bro, im proud of you and hope you can stay on the right path. keep working out and eating healthy and you'll be fine.

You are a very strong person to overcome this on your own. i'm glad you turned your life around and found something to devote your time to.

I've had relatives go through addictions and it can get really ugly.

The gym was a great place for me to focus my energy but the real thing that kept me going was my wife and daughter. They deserve only the best and I wasnt providing that being sick all the time. My little 2 yr old girl was what brought me through it.
