Whats everybody's experience with the Keto diet against the standard 40/40/20 diets?

I guess in my experience, keto never really gave me the results that I could otherwise get from a solid 40/40/20 (or there-about) diet. I think those that start off extremely overweight or are very carb sensetive see great results. Whatever works for the individual i guess. Def worth trying tho.
Don't know if this will be much help or not but I believe diet effects everyone differently because I am a believer in eating according to your blood group which is great for me as I am an O blood type and therefore need to eat a lot of protein from meats etc and not so many carbs, this has worked very well for me so I believe the keto diet would be easier for me than say an A blood type which requires more veges.
Keto diets can be very effective, but not all keto diets are created equal. For instance, the Atikins diet is a keto diet and IMO that diet is a mess and a disaster.
On a keto diet obviously you're relying on fats for fuel, hopefully stored body fat but you will need outside energy sources and since you're not eating a lot of carbs, this will come from the fats you eat...you need quality fats on a keto diet, you do not get these on the Atkins...and that's not all that's wrong with the Atikins plan, but no point in going on a tangent, lol!
You can get very lean and very hard on a good keto diet...the first wk or so will be very rough as your body adapts to the diet, but you will adapt. Keto diets can be very useful for contest prep...a lot of guys don't like it though because while dieting they look a little more flat, but this doesn't really matter. Who cares if you look a little flatter while dieting? All that matters is that you look good on stage.
It's also true that everyone is different and everyone responds somewhat differently to certain diets. I do believe that a form of a keto diet can work for just about anyone though...the right adjustments simply have to be made for each person. I'm not saying these diets are preferable to say carb cycling diets, I'm just saying they can work and work well.
I rather carb cycling also, keeps me lean and bumped at thesame time.
I won't be draggin' ass all the time either, only when carbs are way too low, around 100 grams/day which is 1 or 2 days/week.
It also keeps my metabolism at full speed.
40/40/20 seems to just not give results after 2-3 weeks. Unless I keep increasing my cardio intensity weekly almost.
Keto? F that.
