No this blog is not an ad or spam, trying to put somethingof benefit out for others. Imerely want to share something with all of you that I feel would be of true benefit to all who want to get bigger, stronger, leaner, etc...

I have been competing as a bodybuilder on the NPC National level for a very long time. Over the years I have tried many different products and have worked with many different companies. By far I do feel I have found a company that puts out TOP end products and who will stand behind their products with incredible customer service like no other I have ever dealt with. Who am I talking about? Need To Build Muscle. I came across this company about a year ago and actually started using many of his products after my last show which was the NPC Masters Nationals this past July. My first cycle a 4 week cycle I took 2 weeks after my show. My strength gains and size gains were absolutely beyonebelief for something that is over the counter. I have also put many of my clients both men and women on different combinations of his productswith very good results.

There really are few companies I would recommend and put my name behind but Need To Build Muscle is a company I truly feel everyone should check out. They have products for anyone and everyone depending on what you are looking to accomplish.

Further, I would like to thank Need To Build Muscle as this is one of the few companies in all the years I have been competing that has truly stood behind me and backed me both in sponsorship and support while I have been preping for my shows and meets.

If any of you have any questions at all about this company or their products, Please do not hesitate to ask me, but in the mean time check them out at http://www.needtobuildmuscle.com

Also, they have a product called Better Protein Bars. This comes in a bag, it is a dry mix that takes 10 minutes max to make, there is no baking involved and makes really awesome protein bars, with no additives or preservatives. They are great.

WANNA GET BIG AND STRONG FAST?

So you wanna get big and strong fast, dont we all! I have been using different products over the years and really have only found a few things out there that REALLY work. I am not going to get into each product this time, but what I am going to get into is some products that I most recently came across that I am incredibly impressed with.

The company I am going to talk to you about is called Need To Build Muscle. I had never heard of this company till recently when we came across each other on MySpace. Anyway, long story short the owner of this company is very reputable, with a very broad base of knowledge when it comes to supplements. When I finished my last show I explained to the owner that I wanted to try his products and my goal was to put on as much muscle as possible in 4 to 6 weeks. Normally I would tell someone it takes time to really put on quality size, but I have to say I had to eat my words on this one҅

Need To Build Muscle is not your everyday products. Basically they are all designer hormones, which I never really believed in. But, these work. The owner put me on two different products that he has and in 4 weeks my strength and size gains have been fenominal. I am currently just coming off of a contest and am getting ready to go right back on one again. My food intake is at a medium calorie range with clean protein, carbs and fats in each meal.

I am taking Beastdrol and Dieselbolan and it is great. I also have a couple of other girls who have never taken anything beyond some amino acids who are taking Beastdrol at dose and within 5 days there were noticeable changes occurring, now that is impressive.

Need To Build Muscle has a variety of designer hormones available with different combonations depending on your goals and level. You want to get Big and Strong fast, then contact NEED TO BUILD MUSCLE () and tell them I sent you. You will be treated very well as this is by far the MOST reputable company and people I have met in this industry in a very long time.

A GREAT POSING SUIT CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN HOW YOUR PHYSIQUE APPEARS ON STAGE!

I have been competing for 15+ years on the bodybuilding stage and if there is one thing I have learned it is the importance of your posing suit. My first experience with this was the 1991 NPC Jr. Nationals. I placed pretty well considering it was my first National level show, but I remember very distinctly what a couple of the judges told me after the show. You would have placed higher, but your suit cut you in half Ӗ throwing your symmetry off. Since then I have always tried to find the perfect fit and have used many different people and companies over the years. Some have been better than others, but until last year I have never been totally satisfied. Last year I went to the NPC Northern Colorado to meet with my long time friend and promoter Jeff Taylor. While there I ran into Heather Armbrust. We talked quite extensively about posing suits and she told me about the person she uses. Heather stated the person is Christine Marsh of Christine Marsh Designs and does incredible work, is very reliable, is very easy to work with and makes the whole experience stress free. At that point Christine showed up and Heather introduced me to her. I had Christine do both my Prejudging and Night show suits for the 2008 NPC Masters Nationals and she just did my suits for the 2009 NPC Masters Nationals. I have also had Christine do suits for both the men and women here in the US and in Canada that I work with. Working with Christine has been a true pleasure, totally stress free and she has produced some incredible suits.

I just recently got to talk extensively with Christine as I wanted to know more about what got her involved, how long she has been doing this, some of the people she has done suits for, etcԅ See what Christine has to say:

AR: Tell us a little about your business; what first prompted you to get into making bodybuilding, fitness and figure competition suits and how long you have been doing this?

CM: I have been sewing and designing swimsuits and costumes for all occasions as well as stage wear for over 30 years. I met a figure competitor named Mocha Lee from the Washington D.C. area about 12 years ago. She was a regular on the cover of Oxygen Magazine as well as a top competitor. The magazine was doing an article on where to get competition suits and she suggested I send in some suits. I did and they were in the article. I started getting calls from all over the country for suits! I then found the local promoter of the Rocky Mountain NPC, Jeff Taylor and also IFBB Pro Carla Sanchez. They desperately needed my services and I have been designing competition suits for Fitness, Figure and Bodybuilders ever since. I have clientele all over the world!

AR: Would you list some of the people that you make suits for that we would recognize their name?

CM: I am the exclusive designer for the Carla Sanchez Performance Ready team many of whom have gotten their pro cards such as Liza Kamstra, Jessica Steffans, Jesse Booth, Anna Larratta and more. Heather Mae French, Bridgette Murray, Heidi Fletcher, Heather Armbrust, Holly Geersen, Theresa Nystrom, and Phil Heath just to name a few. I also have competitors from other organizations such as Tracy Gamelin, Mike Halsey, Toneka Pires, Amber Ameredes and many others.

AR: How early should someone contact you prior to their show to have you get started on their suits?

CM: People should contact me as early as they can to start the process even up to a year in advance. The 1st step is to mail fabric samples to the client. They can decide on the fabric and place the order with a deposit right away to secure their place on the schedule. They must order no later than 1 month before the competition, although I can make rush orders sometimes. I make the suits about 2-3 weeks before the show to get the closest measurements for the suits. Suits can then be altered if necessary before the show. Rhinestone designs vary in price depending on how elaborate the design becomes. My assistant Kelli who is absolutely EXPERT in design and application creates rhinestone designs. Prices and more info can be found on my website:

AR: Where are you located?

CM: Christine Marsh Designs is located at 7500 S. University Blvd. Unit 109 Centennial, Colorado 80122. The mailing address is P.O. Box 3652, Littleton, Colorado 80161. Phone number is 303-584-0832. E-mail address is cmdesigns10587@qwestoffice.net and website is

AR: I know you work with people from all over the US and Canada, how difficult is it to fit someone when they are not in your area and cannot come in for a personal fitting?

CM: Not difficult at all. I design suits for customers all over the country and all over the world. I interview them with specific questions about measurements and designs. I make patterns especially for each individual, which I keep on file for them. When they receive the suits we discuss if changes and alterations are needed. If so they mail the suits back for the changes and then I update the patterns and send the suits back to them. Other things can be done to the suits also like adding more and more rhinestones! My success rate for fitting out of state orders is great.

AR: If someone does not know how the cut of their suit should be, how do you help them decide?

CM: I help them decide what they want by looking at the suits on my website. They can also e-mail me with pictures of suits from other sites or magazines. All suits are customized to suit the client.

AR: What are the differences or are there any between the suits of bodybuilders, figure and fitness?

CM: Fitness competitors need an outfit that represents the theme of their routine. I design and e-mail sketches of the potential outfits to each competitor and wait for their response. Bodybuilders both men and women need prejudging suits and often would like to have fancy night suits. Figure girls need fancy suits!

AR: Is there anything else you would like to add about your business that you want people to know?

CM: We are committed to top quality and the best fit! My motto is The Winning FitӔ

Well thank you Christine for taking the time out of your busy schedule to speak with me. You have been very informative and all I can say to you readers is if you do not already have Christine with Christine Marsh Designs making your competition suits then you need to get on the ball and contact her. That is if you want a great suit that shows off all that hard work the way it should. Both myself and everyone else I have talked with that has suits from Christine Marsh Designs would never go anywhere else again. They are by far the best suits I have ever had.

This is the second year in a row I have competed at the Masters Nationals and I have to say Gary Udit puts on a nice show where the athletes are really taken care of.

Last year was my come back after a 10-year retirement. I competed as a light heavy in the 35+ and placed 4th in a VERY tough class. Well this year guess what I did the same - 4th place in a VERY tough light heavy class. I would like to add that my husband, Dave Palumbo and many others actually had me 3rd, but I am okay with 4th as it is still top 5 and anytime you can make top 5 in a national show you should not complain. Based on how I looked last year my goal this year was to come in better condition, which I definitely did. However, there is still more to work on based on what I, my husband, Dave Palumbo and others saw of me this year and that is more upper body size, but conditioning was right on.

Now I would like to talk about my experiences leading up to, during and after the show.

Last year I had Dave Palumbo help me with my diet and he helped me again this year. His diet is not too different then the way I had dieted, but there are differences for sure. I like having Dave help me for several reasons one he is a great guy who I really trust, two he knows what he is doing and finally it takes the stress off of me having to figure things out - I just do what he tells me. I visited Dave two times prior to the show one was in NYC at the NY Pro and the last time was 4 weeks prior to the Masters at the Jr's. Seeing Dave in person is not something that the people he works with need to do but was something I wanted to do. The diet was just as difficult this year as it was last year, but it is worth it in the end.

Beyond the diet leading up to the show another really great thing I had happen prior to the show was I hooked up with NeedToBuildMuscle.com this year. I have dealt with many companies over the years, but I have to say their products ROCK, definitely some of the best out there and if you are unfamiliar with them then go to the site and check it out & do not hesitate to ask questions. I have always been very picky about whom I align myself with and do my best to make sure the company is reputable with TOP quality products and needtobuildmuscle.com is right there. After conversating back and forth for awhile and getting to know one another I am now a sponsored athlete of needtobuildmuscle.com and THANK them for their support in helping me prepare for the 2009 Masters.

Now lets talk about the days leading up to and the show. Tuesday the week of the show we drove down to Albuquerque as it is a 3-hour drive and I did not want to make the drive and flight all in the same day. Wednesday morning we had a very early flight out and arrived in Pittsburgh around 4pm, caught a taxi to the hotel and got checked in. I was a little surprised that I did not see any bodybuilders at the airport or hotel, but I figured I would start seeing them the next day and that I did. Thursday afternoon I went to the contest hotel for weigh ins & to have Dave Palumbo take a look at me. He told me that he would be arriving around 4:30pm. Ironically, right when I arrived at the contest hotel his cab pulled up - talk about timing... Dave took a look and said he liked what he saw. After that I weighed in at 135. Friday was relatively uneventful other than getting tanned. Friday night no matter how hard I tried I could not sleep.

Saturday the day of the show started at a bright and early 3am. I got myself ready and then had to be over at the contest hotel by 5:30am to get a touch up on my tan. After my touch up tan I went to the restaurant to have some eggs. While there I had a great conversation with Michael Alexander who lives in Colorado and competed in the mens heavy class the night before. At 7:30am I went to the meeting and after the meeting relaxed for a short bit before I had to go back stage. It is always fun doing this show as you get to see and talk to the other competitors who most of us have known each other and competed against each other for years so often the conversations are talking about the good old days... Around 10 or 11am the light heavy women went on stage. It was different than any other time I have been on stage as during the comparison round they did not move us around, which is very unusual. My assumption for this is there were quite a few of us that were just barely hanging in there, the judges saw this & tried to get us off stage as quickly as possible. I certainly was not unhappy about getting off stage quickly. I was called out in the top 5 call out and was quite excited about that. After prejudging we went out to have a burger and fries, wow that tasted great!!! After lunch I took a nap, got up and returned for the night show. Back stage they lined the light heavyҒs up then called the numbers that did not make top 5 into a different line, sent them up to be introduced then had the rest of us (top 5) go up to do our routines then lined us up to hand us our trophies. As I stated above I got 4th place. Dave stated he had me 3rd and when they called me 4th he heard quite a few boos, but as I said, I have no complaints - anything top 5 is good.

The show was lots of fun just as it was last year. What I enjoyed most was getting to meet up with old friends such as Cathy Conners, Michele Ivers, Lisa B and also getting to hook up and talk with old friends such as Vinny G and Sebastian Zona. There are however things that went on at the show that I do not think were right and the biggest one was what happened with the womens 35+ overall and 45+ overall. Taking nothing away from Tracy, I think it is great she got her pro-card, but they are suppose to give out 2 cards one for the 45+ and one for the 35+ and they gave it all to Tracy. They should have given the 35+ to Michele Ivers (sorry I forgot what her married name is...). I was actually surprised that they let people do cross overs when they are providing a pro card in each division. I feel there should be no cross overs allowed and they need to have 4 weight classes in the 45+ division same as in the 35+ division. Other than that I thought the show was great.

Now my task is to put lots more size on in the off-season this year and present a package the judges will like even more than what they have seen the past two years.

I would like to thank Curtis Schultz (my husband) for all of his help and support, needtobuildmuscle.com for their support, Dave Palumbo for all of his assistance and support, Colette Nelson for her help, Bill Crawford for his assistance and support, Species Nutrition, Top Choice Supplements and everyone else who was behind me while I prepared for this show. I could not have done it without all of their support.

Welcome to my newӔ journal! I will try to update once a week, as sometimes finding time to write is difficult due to my business. I am a gym owner, full-time personal trainer and competition prep coach. My life right now is pretty stressful and full.

Yep, I have been a competitive bodybuilder for over a decade, and, over the years, I have been in someway or another part of the Bodybuilding community and after 10 years in retirement I came back and did the 2008 NPC Masters Nationals. Wow! To comeback after a 10-year layoff and to place top 4 is way cool. The 2008 Master Nationals is no joke it is a pro qualifier for sure. The toughest classes were the womenӒs light heavyweights and heavyweights - I was in the light heavyweights (139 3/4)16 girls in my class, 17 in heavyweights! I PLACED 4th!!! So my come back was a TOP 5Ņ. SWEET! I had a GREAT time; lots of funŔ

Right now, I am preparing for the 2009 NPC Masters Nationals. Im training, and doing cardio almost everyday, with weights 5X/week and cardio is about 45min. once a day Җ for now (that wont last long). I will be practicing my routine and start my mandatory poses around May. The hard part for me is finding a piece of music I like to pose to since IҒm so heavy metal an all.

Until next week and I will let you know how the dieting and training has been shaping up.
